This mural honors the Brown Pelican as a symbol of hope for the healing of this planet. The two birds are positioned in front of the Moon and Sun, the sacred energies of our planet. Honeybees and honeycomb share their healing touch over the pelicans, symbolizing the restorative Divine Feminine energy that sustains and connects all life. Human legs on the pelicans indicate a way of looking back in time to our native ancestors, the Kumeyaay tribe. They were “Mutt’tipi”, or “people of the Earth”.
